Vintage Double Lucky Horseshoe Diamond Ring, 14K

Double vision and double luck! This vintage ring plays with one of the best Victorian motifs: the horseshoe. With not one but two beautiful horseshoe shapes, this 14K yellow and white gold ring is encrusted with 10 round brilliant cut diamonds. A symbol of good luck and protection, the horseshoe became popular around 1880 thanks to an uptick in superstition. It is believed that the horseshoe should face upwards so that the good luck doesn’t pour out. However, some believe that facing the opening downwards bestows luck upon others. Just more duality to layer upon this lovely ring.
